Studies on “Treatment of Pulp and Paper Industrial Wastewater” at Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
Pulp and paper mills generate varieties of pollutants depending upon the type of the pulping process. In this study it was observed investigations on reduction of color from pulp and paper mill effluent by coal flyash, rise husk and compared results with activated carbon and the process used was the adsorption technique. Studies on various parameters in batch experiment used to calculate the adsorption isotherm data. The continuous experiments were carried in a glass column to study the parameters like bed height and influent flow rate on reduction of color.
